Community Informational Meeting on Marine Issues related to Desalination and How to Get Involved in the Environmental Review

Community TV of Santa Cruz County  filmed the November 10th Community Informational Meeting and it is scheduled to play on Comcast 25/Charter 71 several times in December.  The schedule is:

  • Learn why water is a critical issue and how supply shortfalls affect the City of Santa Cruz and the Soquel Creek Water District.
  • Learn about the different types of intake systems being evaluated for the proposed desalination project.
  • Learn how marine issues related to the intake and the brine discharge will be addressed.
  • Learn about the environmental review process, the purpose of scoping, upcoming scoping meetings, and how to comment on the scope of the EIR.
