SC Water Department has failed residents

Santa Cruz Sentinel, 4/30/14

When we moved to Capitola in the late '70s there was a Soquel Creek Water District meter moratorium and studies showing aquifer overdraft. Over 30 years later, guess what? Same thing. Meanwhile the Santa Cruz Water Department continues to pile on single-family residences (who only account for about 40 percent of their water sales) with indefinite and outrageous rates and restrictions that seriously undermine the value and the quality of life in our hard-earned homes. Enough. The current SCWD board has failed us and needs to be recalled and replaced.
