Santa Cruz Sentinel, 3/8/13

Costs of a lawsuit filed against the city of Santa Cruz and Soquel Creek Water District for a proposed desalination plant are split 50-50 between the two agencies up to the point of land acquisition and construction. After that, costs would be split 59-41, with the city paying the greater share. Also, the story should have said funds stemming from the rate increase approved in February by the district will not fund an environmental report for the plant. Incorrect information was published on page B4 Wednesday.
